The MSEYE web design portfolio covers a wide range business types in the Essex area. Their clients range from advertising agencies to yacht charterers (nothing as yet beginning with ‘z’ !).
“We are very pleased with the search engine optimisation services provided by MSEYE and we have seen our online business increase significantly since we engaged them. We have retained them for another year…”
“We like the friendly personal service of the MSEYE web design team and are pleased to recommend them to anyone in need of a new website…”
“We knew nothing about trading online but MSEYE had our ecommerce website up and running in no time. It’s easier than we thought to manage the site ourselves and have had no problems adding and changing products”
You don’t have to be in Essex to use MSEYE!
MSEYE launch new website from their Essex web design studio near Maldon in Essex. The site features information on website design and offers web hosting packages on Windows servers.
Martin Seabrook started MSEYE four years ago and has been involved in many web projects serving clients both directly and through collaborations with designers and agencies. He has also now joined forces with brother Roger Seabrook who specialises in search engine optimisation and website promotion.

Both Google and Yahoo offer advertising programmes where users create an account on their system and ‘bid’ for advert click throughs against specific keywords.
When you open an account you can create an ‘advert’ which will automatically display on the first search results page when searches are made for the keywords you have specified. These are the sponsored links appearing on the right hand side on the search results pages.
Where you appear in the list of sponsored links is directly related to the bid you have posted for that keyword.
To some people the bidding system is a bit of a worry, but once you have opened an account and looked at the how it all works, it all becomes clearer.
For some highly sought after keywords the bids can get way too high, but for many the bid can be in pence rather than pounds! The trick really is very careful selection of keywords and being very clear that your bid will cost you up to that amount each time someone clicks through to your website from the sponsored advert.
Although we are web designers ourselves and involved all the time in optimising websites so they can be found easily on search engines in the natural way by searches, we do manage several sponsored advert accounts on behalf of clients and can testify to it’s effectiveness - it’s a very powerful tool when used in the right way.
If you are interested in opening an Overture or Google Adwords account, or want to find out more about optimising your website why not give us a call.
When it comes to choosing a domain name for your new website, it’s worth including your most important keyword into the website address. This will give some advantage when it comes to submitting your new site to the search engines.
Some search engines, Google included, will give some priority to the site if a keyword is contained within the website address, like in our own address web-design.
This doesn’t guarantee anything however! But it’s one step along the way to getting the site to the top places on the search results page.
The World Wide Web Consortium, known as W3C develop specifications, tools, guidelines and software for the Web. It is also a forum for information and understanding for the world wide web community.
The W3C code specification for websites has become the accepted international standard for web developers. The specifications not only make sense for website efficiency but also ensures the website is highly accessible both now and into the future.
There are different specifications for different document types, for example; html, css and xml, and there are tools on the W3C site ( www.W3C.org ) for anyone to check web pages for validation against the coding standards.
There are many tempting offers on website design templates and web hosting out there to choose from, but are these apparent bargains as good as they seem?
They can be if used in the right way and there are many great self-built websites out there, some are amongst the best on the internet. But it takes a great deal of time and effort to learn the art of designing and building a successful website, as well as finding and managing the most suitable web hosting.
As website designers ourselves we have on many occassions been asked to complete a web project or replace a site which is simpy not having an impact. For those with the interest and time to put into a web project it can be done alone, with lots of help on building, hosting and optimising websites out there on the internet.
Many organisations who do recognise the important part the website can play in generating interest in the company, it’s products and services do hire web design experts and web hosting specialists and we are retained by some to help make their site as successful as possible.
If you are doing it yourself maybe you or are looking for some website expertise in a specific area in which case we would be pleased to assist. It probably won’t cost as much you think, plus we can spread the cost if it’s a larger job if that helps.
Can you afford to risk not investing in your website?
We have been trying out the new Google Talk service and are pleased to say that we are impressed. It was easy to install and has a simple user interface accessed from the desk top. All you need to use it is a microphone and some speakers, and of course your computer connected to the internet!
Best of all it’s free and you can talk to anyone anywhere who has the software installed. Try it out - it’s still in Beta, although we have been using it for a few weeks and haven’t come across any problems. We have successfully sent and recieved many files and used the text message box which we like as messages are sent instantly and you can see when the recipient is typing a reply.
Calling people is easy too - just click a google user from your address list and it rings immediately which the recipient can answer or not as they wish. The Google Talk panel also shows if the user is logged into the system, so you know if it’s worth calling, although there is a fairly amusing auto answer machine message which is worh a listen!
Anyway we recommend it - for it’s simplicity, practicality and unobtrusive integration into everyday life at the screen.
