Website Content Preparation
Site Map
It's a good idea to start with a site map showing all the page titles and the keywords to be inserted for each page
Text Content
Then under each title, paragraphs of text can be written giving prominance to the keywords you are targetting on that page, and page titles should also contain reference to the keywords.
Dynamic Content
Of course if it's an ecommerce site the content will be mainly the products being sold and in this case you could prepare the product data ready for use by arranging it in a csv or spreadsheet format (we can provide templates for preparing the data) which can then easily be imported into the website database for use on the site.
Photography
It pays to have the best photography that you can obtain! Even the best design or cleverest graphics cannot disguise poor photos! We can recommend a few in our area who would too pleased to assist, or we can undertake photgraphic management if this is required.
Once this is done the page layouts can be completed by adding the data, text and images in the designated areas.
Images
JPEG or JPG and GIF images are the most commonly used file types and can be displayed easily in browsers. Images will need to be sized to match according to the size you want them displayed at on the screen and are uploaded to the webserver along with the HTML and other code.
Multi Media
Multi media such as Flash and Video can be displayed on webpages and can add add an eye catching and entertaining as well as informative dimension to the site.
You can also think about other ways to generate content, for example with an RSS feed. You could also start your own BLOG syndicatation or PodCast - the possibiliies are endless!!
