Choosing the designer

We are often asked, how much does it cost to have a website custom designed?

Our answer is, less than you think! but then it really depends on what we are asking the designer to do. For example a good designer could spend a few hours on the styling and layout of a pre-defined site map and really make a difference to a site. Or, we could ask the designer to research competitors websites before proposing designs, or we may even want the designer to propose navigation, site map and other features, all of which can take the design budget much higher.
