Databases for Dynamic Websites

The database is used to store data which can then be used and displayed on the website

This is useful where a system is needed for management of frequently changing website content, as well as storing information on ecommerce transactions or other specified data.

The type of database needed will depend on the amount of data being stored, the webserver the site is running on and the scripting language being used to connect the website with the database.

For small websites an Access database on a Windows plateform will usually suffice, although our preference for small and larger sites would be a MySql database running on one of our Windows servers with ASP and we can also offer PHP with MySql on Linux webservers.
